A relaxing three day tour taking in the sights sounds and tastes of Waiheke Island. This trip leaves plenty of time to sample the world-famous Waiheke Island Vineyards.

Tour Detail

After collecting your bike from our Auckland Airport Depot, you head off along the Mangere Coastal Walkway which is a relaxing introduction to cycling. You then pass through Ambury Farm Park where you will see sheep, goats, cows, chickens and horses on your way to the train station in Onehunga.

A short train journey takes you to the terminal in downtown Auckland where you board the ferry for the scenic 45 minute trip to Waiheke Island. The afternoon pedal takes you through laid-back villages on quiet roads to your accommodation for the evening. Time should allow for visiting one or two of Waiheke’s 30 vineyards.

Day Two is one of many options. You may choose to spend it wine-tasting at any of the 30 vineyards on the island or you might head off on the bike to explore the far end of the island, passing through Stoney Batter, Man o’ War Bay and Orapiu. This loop takes in beautiful beaches, native bush, farmland, rolling hills and of course more vineyards.

After a lazy breakfast on day three, you make your way to the ferry once again for the return trip before retracing your tyre-tracks back to the Natural High Depot.
